where it all began

This photo was taken on the balcony just minutes before my dear friends Jenn & Jeremy's wedding. Was an amazing wedding down in New Orleans, which is where Jenn is from, and this is the trip where Giant Peach all began. I purchased my dress in Key West the previous winter and wanted a special statement piece to wear with it and couldn't find anything I liked. So I gathered my materials and made my first Giant Peach headband using a vintage broach and feathers! From that moment on Giant Peach has grown into many different accessories. It's funny to look back and see how much Jenn and I have both changed.

ribbons & cameos

Giant Peach has been contemplating a new line of accessories for brides. Cameos, ribbon, lace, feathers, and all things vintage have been a good source for inspiration. Something about weddings make me giddy with joy.

On a recent trip, while partaking in some wine at Sasha's, this was found in the ladies restroom.

pink peonies

When I was a child I remember my great grandmother had peony bushes, tulips, and other lovely flowers in her yard. She was from Belgium so I guess the tulips reminded her of home and were a bit nostalgic. Gardening has become one of my favorite past times in recent years, pink peonies make my heart flutter.
